Art in the Woods

Artists in the Woods is an annual outdoor event for a range of artists, musicians, performers and craftspeople. Its organised by Swale Arts Forum and takes place every June at the Gunpowder Works in Faversham, Kent. Amanda Thesiger worked with families to create a giant frieze of greens, taking inspiration from the colours and shapes in the trees and plants all around, building up the artwork throughout the day. Participants used printing and rubbing methods, chalks, paints and crayons. The finished work was about 15 metres long.
