Artist Martin Brockman led a group of volunteers from Faversham Recreation Ground in some early festive creativity on November 25th. The group learnt how to make a deer sculpture from coppiced willow, hazel and hornbeam. Everyone enjoyed themselves, learnt a lot and were impressed with the artwork they produced. Most participants took their life size deer home with them, one was even carried on the train! One deer made it’s way to Faversham Council, taking pride of place in their office window.
