Led by craftsperson Gemma Gottelier, families celebrated life giving plants & created multi-sensory Christmas garland to decorate their homes during the festive season.
Participants explored plants in the park & their vulnerability to climate change, visiting the sensory garden and foraging for natural materials to create a mini wreath garland.
A pre Christmas activity for families, and a chance to gather and share a sensory outdoor, creative experience, bringing evergreens into homes – an ancient tradition with symbolisms thought to bring luck & good health!
This workshop was funded by the Kent Community Foundation Frank Brake Fund & supported by the Victoria Park Project.
