Families enjoyed creating beautiful suncatchers using nature’s treasures – to hang in windows and catch the lovely summer light!
Led by artist Gemma Gottelier, participants explored the wonderful plants & wildlife of beautiful Oare Gunpowder Works, and created delightful suncatchers before listening to a nature-inspired story.
What creatures might we find in amongst the abundant flora & around the lovely lakes of Oare Gunpowder Works? Come with me on an exploration to see what’s growing & living there! We’ll take a stroll through the country park – using our senses to smell plants, spot & listen for animals, make drawings of our discoveries, and seek out nature’s gems to use for our creations! You’ll make a delicate suncatcher with your gathered treasure, inspired by Oare’s wildlife, to enjoy at home. And while your suncatchers catch the sun, I’ll read you a fun story about another woodland adventure!
