In this nature based, creative family workshop, children and parents/carers explored Milton Creek Country Park, guided by artist educator Laura Thomas. Participants spent time discovering the flora and fauna in different areas of the park and foraging for natural materials to use to create beautiful and delicate prints on fabric and paper.
We learnt about and experimented with the simple printmaking methods of Hapa Zome and monoprinting, using the natural pigments, shapes and delicacies of the organic materials found on our journey through the park, and creating unique images to take home.
